An Informal Active Rain Survey

By
Real Estate Agent with Weidel Realtors

Greek ScrollAn Informal Active Rain Survey  For a couple of months, I have had an issue with my Active Rain profile. Sometimes it is in English, but mostly it appears in Greek. Several Active Rainers have responded and some have suggested it might be a glitch with IE8 and/or IE9. It doesn't matter about my profile to me, I know what I wrote, but I have no control on how the public and Active Rainers view my profile.

1. Please check my profile, tell me what you are seeing, and answer in the comments. Please let me know whether you are using IE8, IE9, Firefox or another browser.

2. Please check your own profile and let me know if you have issues with that.

This information will be invaluable to try to narrow down the problem and then try to fix it.

Thanks in advance for your time and your help!

Hi Anne - Yours is still Greek to me with ie8 (laptop) and normal with Safari (iPad). So I thought it was an ie8 problem originally. But I looked on Chrome - same computer as ie8, and that's Greek too! And mine's normal on all three. And here's another crazy thing about it - if you copy the Greek from your profile and paste it into a text editor - it shows up in English, so it must be a display issue. Have you tried re-writing it from scratch in something like wordpad as a text file and re-entering it? This must be driving you nuts!

Debbie: The frustrating thing is Active Rain staff have no clue! I can see the humorous side, but my husband keeps reminding me that a) I am a Rainmaker and paying for this service and b) unless potential clients read and write Greek, I am SOL (sadly out of luck).

Dick: My tech does not want be to upgrade to IE9. He just has issues. I think I should anyway.

Thank you both for your thoughtful responses!

Anne  - I don't see how changing your browser is going to make my browser not display you in Greek I don't think that's the issue.
