Unplug unused electronics.  believe it or not, on the average 25% of electricity used to power a home is used when products are turned off.

Excuse me, I'm going to go unplug the hair dryer!

Cindy, could you imagine how much greener a household of 5 or 6 could be if you could get ALL the kids to cut back on their showers?  I know I would've had difficulty with that with my daughter; she loved her long showers...although today she has her whole family on "lockdown" with recycling etc!!

Turning off the hair dryer permanently would really help to save energy!  And save your hair from being all dried out and overheated.
