Dreamers and Doers

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty's At The Beach Team

Every great product or service starts out as someone’s dream but not every dream becomes a great product or service.  The reasons for that are varied but generally speaking it’s because most dreams end up in the “I’m Going To” section of Reality Mart where they sit and fade.  They never get out of the store.   Have you ever had an idea that grew into a “dream of yours”?  We all have.  And you get all fired up and tell people all about the stuff you’re going to do to make this dream happen.  But in the end, for whatever reasons, you lose steam and the dream dies?  Say yes because we all have.  It’s human nature.

Here’s The Thing

All dreams don’t have to die.  If you want your dream to make it you need to act on it.  You need to take the next step of identifying a strategy that will achieve your dream.  Then you need to create goals (targets) with time frames to keep you energized and excited about your dream.  Then you need to work your butt off to make it happen.   It’s as easy as that.

Here’s The Thing 2

Having a dream of something you want to accomplish is a great and powerful thing. Simply being a dreamer is not.  The difference is one causes you act, and do great things, and the other just makes you wistful and vague.

Here’s The Secret

You have to have dreams.  They keep you excited, engaged and interested in life.  And they make you exciting, engaging and interesting to the rest of us which is a win win for everyone.  So have a dream – the bigger the better – and then act on it.

YOU CAN DO IT.  Start Now.  Go Be Great Today.

Good morning John. You are right and you are strong, but what is your dream and how have you acted on it? I hope it's not real estate related but whatever it is: share please.

So true, so true. Some of our dreams really are just fantasies that we enjoy pondering from time to time-- a sort of mind vacation. But to dream big and then to have the courage to do it scared... That's where all the good stuff is!

Sheila my dream is to grow my team of good, professional and productive realtors to 1,000 strong.  Right now we are at 10 so I have a ways to go.  My plan to provide them with the ongoing leadership, tools and education to achieve their dreams and attract new agents to our team.  Big dream, big goals, big results.  Thanks for your comment.

Dreamers dream and doers do and there are differences between the two...one of them most likely being their bank account.
