Bank of American Might Be On To Something With Short Sales

Listening to people struggling with short sale negotiating is painful. Yet they feel Twitter is just a passing fad.  It's not all about Ashton and Demi.  Kudos to BOA.

For those of us who are frequent sellers of short sale properties, the lack of communication between us and the seller's bank is one of the most frustrating aspects of the sale.  If you've ever tried to get the bank negotiator on the phone, you have probably found that they can be as elusive as a sighting of Bigfoot.

It makes you wonder if they really exist.  Well, they do, but that they can often be the weak link in the short sale process.  I just got off the phone with Don Pearce from Bank of AmericaBank of America has started a Twitter (only) access to their short sale department.  It is designed to help agents and brokers who are having trouble with a short sale within Bank of America family.

If you're struggling with a Bank of America short sale, this new department at @BoAhelp is there to help you get your questions answered.  They will initiate a dialog through the Twitter feed, and as the process demands further service, it will go to a telephone consultation.

Congratulations to Bank of America for being proactive in this area.  Communication with banks during a short sale can be one of the most stress aspects of getting a deal through the process.  Use this service, and maybe this whole short sale process will actually become efficient and less stressful for all.  Now, if their competitors will follow suit, we'll be on the way to a real housing and economic recovery.

Never thought of that.  Course 140 characters would be getting to the point.  Like "Its approved".
