Looking for Excellent Customer Service? Try the Meat House!

Real Estate Agent with CENTURY 21 Goodyear Green Edmond, OK

I've always worked with the public.  I've helped folks with their basic needs; food, clothing, and shelter.  Over the years I've worked in food service, retail, and now real estate.  Those three industries may seem pretty different on the surface.  But they actually have one strong common thread; customer service.  To be successful in any of the three, a company really needs to have strong customer service skills.

To me, excellent customer service is much more than a good return policy or a few smiling faces.  It's an overall experience as soon as I walk in the door.  When I find a business doing this well, I'm hooked!  I'm willing to pay a bit more and will be a raving fan.

Today I found a new business in Edmond doing this incredibly well.  I finally stopped by the Meat House.  If you haven't heard of the Meat House, they opened about a month ago at the corner of Danforth and Santa Fe in Edmond.  They are a butcher and grocer.  I had heard some rave reviews from friends.  I even sampled some of their steak at the Taste of Edmond back in July.  Heck, they were my very favorite offering at the event!  I just had not stopped in before today.

From the moment I walked into the store I felt welcome.  I wasn't sure what I was going to buy so I looked around a bit.  They of course have fresh meat, poultry and seafood counters.  But they also have a variety of prepared meals, produce, bakery items, local cheeses, and more.  The gentleman behind the counter asked me a couple questions about what I had in mind.  I explained that I was hoping to find something super easy that I could throw in the oven and would taste yummy.  He told me about a few options like steak tips and marinated chicken breasts before we settled on the asparagus stuffed chicken.  He gave me a few tips about how to cook the chicken and even wrapped it in foil containers so I could put it right in the oven.  Easy peasy!

Once I checked out, the gal even carried my bag of groceries to the door for me.  To be honest, that was such a surprise it was a bit awkward at first.  It wasn't an offer like "can I help you?" no, it was just what she did.  I can't think of another grocery store that has ever led me to the door!  I'm confident that if I had more than one bag, she would have helped me to my car.

Okay Meat House, I'm hooked!  You've got a regular customer in me!  But I better go.  I've got to get that chicken and asparagus in the oven.  I'm hungry!

Talk to you soon!
