Our Portland home staging company recently completed staging a beautifully-remodeled vacant home in a great neighborhood.  When it had been on the market for only 3 days, a bidding war began ~ the final selling price was well over asking price (with very happy sellers :-)

My client, the seller, let me know that the buyers had written into the contract "sale to include flatscreen plasma TV in media room."  

He responded to the buyers' agent, "I'll ask my stager, but I'm afraid they'll be disappointed in its performance ..."

Hi Maureen,  I am seeing TVs especially wall mounted written into many contracts- these days.  Buyer doesn't want holes in wall or an ugly wall mount that doesn't fit their TV!

Too Funny! That giraffe art jumped right out at me -- I haven't used whimsical art like that in any staging, but think I will after seeing this! It really grabs your attention and is memorable.

Maureen: I've had clients call me after I've staged to ask me to remove the flat screen TV as they were worried it would get stolen. I'm not trying to trick anyone, but I feel good that the props I use look realistic and do not cause a distraction.

That's terrific!  I stage all of my rehab homes (I'm an investor as well as an agent) and I had been thinking about using those plastic prop TV's, after seeing them in a furniture store.  Do you mind messaging me with a good place to buy them?
