On Tuesday, January 10, 2012, a group Green Realty Properties Realtors and our friends will be meeting at the office and then heading over to Green Wave Cafe for lunch.

Green Wave Cafe is a delicious vegan restaurant in Plantation that I love, so I thought it would be a great idea to introduce everyone to it. I often get turned off faces when I mention vegan food, but this place has a delicious menu and I can't wait to share a meal with my friends.

After lunch we’ll be going to the Whole Foods in Plantation to do some shopping. For tomorrow only, 5% of all proceeds go to Abandoned Pet Rescue, Broward County's largest no kill animal shelter that is in need of the funds.

I encourage everyone in the  area to please stop by and do your grocery shopping at the Plantation Whole Foods tomorrow for a wonderful cause.

Pets looking for loving homes will be on Whole Foods' patio from 10am-4pm.

If you can't make it to Whole Foods tomorrow but would still like to help Abandoned Pet Rescue, please visit their website and inquire on how you can donate or volunteer.

It's super fulfilling and the animals are so appreciative. Thanks everyone!

sounds like lots of fun, wish I lived close :)  Maybe we have something similar happening in my neck of the woods.

I'll go shopping at Whole Foods after work. Better that way so I don't end up leaving with groceries and a couple of dogs.

Patty,

What a wonderful way to contribute to the animal shelter.  I just wrote a comment on Toni Wiedmans's post, regarding animals as she is the president of their SPCA.  We have had vegan food and enjoyed it, and I am glad you have one to reommend.  Have a wonderful week. A

Robyn, I hope you can find something similar in Frisco, TX.

Marianna, I will adopt a couple of pups for you and I'll bring them to the office. :)

Chuck, I hope they raise a ton of money. Abandoned Pet Rescue is a wonderful organization, they take amazing care of the homeless animals.

Patty: This sentence is what caught my eye "For tomorrow only, 5% of all proceeds go to Abandoned Pet Rescue, Broward County's large st no kill animal shelter that is in need of the funds. Shopping at Whole Foods in Plantation should be fun.

Hope everyone will enjoy lunch and then the shopping spree for such a great cause.

Hi Patty,

What a spectacular cause as you know I have 3 rescue dogs and love dogs and cats. Unfortunately we do not have a Whole Foods in the Inland Empire...sad but true. I saw them yesterday in Carson, down at the beach and lots of cities in southern California but non here!

Have a wonderful time at lunch and the table looks lovely. I hope your cause gets a lot of $$$ too.

Patty, You really got my heart on this one.  I am an animal-lover through and through.  Many animals would not have a fighting chance if it were not for companies like Whole Foods, and people like you who support animals and help give them a voice.  I bow down to you!

Howdy and evening Patty

Patty my friend, hope you and your friends had a mighty enjoyable time at the Green Wave Cafe! If I lived there, I sure would have gone shopping at Whole Foods Market to help the Abandoned Pet Rescue.

C & C - I am happy to report the store was full of shoppers!!

Debbie - if you lived closer we would be rescuing animals and listening to Bon Jovi all day. Not sure if we would ever get any work done.

Kristin.. time to write a letter to Whole Foods... say you demand a store close by so you can then have charity events for the animals there. I am sure they will agree and put a store by you right away!

Kathleen, I wish I could do more. I wish that I live to see the day when the last animal suffers. <3

Dale, you are such a good man. You do so much for so many in New Hampshire!!
