Be Snow Careful This Winter Driving Season !

The snowfalls in the northern and midwestern parts of the country can lead to some challenging driving conditions.  Whether you are new to this seasonal difference or have lived in these conditions all your life,  the combination of snow, freezing rain, the appearance of black ice and slushy conditions require you to be especially cautious.

Experts tell us that one of the  primary causes of accibald tiresdents in this slippery season are worn spots on tires.  If you have not already

checked your tires, or made this a regular part of your car maintenance program, do it now.  A bald spot on a tire meeting a slick spot on the road or highway are ingredients for an accident.

windshieldAnother common cause of accidents is very easily prevented…CLEAN OFF YOUR WINDOWS….ALL of them !   Inability to see  out the back window or use the rear view mirrors or all of the windshield,  can have tragic results.  Taking a few minutes with a snow brush and scraper while the car warms up can mean saving you the  possibility of an accident.

There are lots of fun activities to enjoy during the winter….sledding, skating, skiing…keep your outdoor activities fun filled and accident free…pro actively prepare for the changes nature deals our roadways this winter.

Not cleaning off those windows is like driving the Ferrari in Scent of a Woman. Blindly.

Sally and David you on a key point "clean off your car including windows, hood and roof" You see people driving out of a peep hole who then wonder why the drove into the ditch.  Have a great Sunday

Good old common sense is all it takes to be a safe driver in the snow..................but that's asking a lot in many cases.

Sally and David, One more thing, when you are cleaning the windows and mirrors, don't forget to clean off all the lights, too!  The brake lights need to be seen, or you might end up rear-ended!

Sally and David, such simple advice and yet it is so often overlooked. Don't understand at all why people do not clear off their windows and mirrors! It's dangerous not to!!!

Sally & David, i think young drivers need special instructions here...with our snowfall yesterday, cars were covered & drivers couldn't see out any windows but maybe the front...it is frustrating so I nipped my errands & headed home!

Sally, living in Florida (75 degrees today) snow is something I never think about but I understand how dangerous it can be if people are not careful.

That is the scary part of the snow and ice the accumulation of it on your tires.  They turn out to be nothing more than a rubber rail just right for sliding
