The Last Supper ~ Wouldn't have happened without Active Rain... It happened today. It was the last supper my Buyers had in their house. All the children were gathered to help pack. Their spouses were there. 
The grandchildren all helped. They packed boxes, they taped boxes. They stacked the boxes high. The children grew up in the house. It was their home for 39 years. Today was their last supper. Everyone cried. Closing is this Wednesday December 12th. What an emotional event! It wouldn't have happened at all if it were not for Active|Rain! It is true!.....
I signed up for Active Rain in September. That very day, I got a call to list a house, because I was the only Realtor listed in Quakertown Pennsylvania USA. Because I got that listing, A buyer I was working with for a couple years called and asked to see it. During the showing, I asked if they would like to see another home in the area that I thought they might like. I wrote about this in my blog called:
All I did was ask: Do you have time to look at another house?
They told me it was love at first sight, and they bought that house. The offer was accepted that week. I wrote about it in my blg entitled: Just Sold In Quakertown 177 year old farmhouse!
We had to put their house for sale. But it was where they raised their family. We marketed their house for sale, and I wrote about it in this blog: Open House in Hatboro 10/28/2007 1 to 4 pm
and we had to reduce the price along the way, so I wrote about that in my blog called: Sellers have found a new home and have reduced their old home for Quick Sale! 
There was alot of activity and we sold it in about a month or so. I wrote about that in my blog called: Just Sold in Hatboro PA Williams Lane in the Boro!
During the home inspection, it was very stressful, and the buyers asked for a large credit to make repairs. I wrote about this in my blog called: Drive by Electrician will give estimates! Ever hear of anything so crazy?
This was such a neat story, that I found these buyers so quickly using great marketing techniques found here on Active Rain, that I made it to the front page of the MOrning Call in Allentown Pennsylvania. This bacame my first featured posting, and it received over 150 comments. It was called: Active|Rain has put me on the front page of the Real Estate Section!
So now all the problems have been ironed out, and we are going to closing on Wednesday. Everyone got together today in the house where they all grew up, and spent 39 years of their life. They gathered for the final time as a large group for their last meal together while they had a packing party.
It is time for a new family to move into that 84 year old home, and raise a family of their own.
