Alaska has one of the lowest rates of foreclosure in the nation.
In February, 2012 126 foreclosures in Alaska, or one for every 2,371 housing units.
The overall national figure for same time period was much higher: 1 in every 637 units.
Within Alaska, Anchorage had the highest number of new foreclosures in February (75).
The Mat-Su Valley was second (32).
The Kenai Peninsula ranked third (5).
