Many people struggle with getting out of debt, many times it is really stressful, and it would be really a huge relief to get out of it. There’s no easy way out of debt unless you’ve suddenly incurred a lot of money by winning the lotto and you can finally pay it all (a chance in a million), but of course getting out of debt is not at all impossible. Now, you may also start limiting the use of your credit card. If it’s something you can pay with cash, then don’t use your card. Paying off your credit card debt can be easy if you follow any of these methods:
Make minimum payments, paying less than the minimum results in penalties;
Make additional mortgage payments if you can, these result in reduced interest loans;
Pay off higher interest-rate debts first, the true cost of debt is the interest charged each month so better to eliminate them first, if it doesn’t work for you, pay off the lowest amount of debt first and work to pay down larger debts;
Or you can consolidate loans, most often it’s offered at a lower interest rate.
Paying your debts is more than just about the money and the discipline, a good part of it is also having the motivation to cross the finish line. So whichever method works for you is fine as long as you persist and become free from debt.
