Most of us think of the title of this post, It's That Time of Year, during the winter holidays! As Realtors, we think of that phrase each and every spring. Spring Market, is, after all, our best marketing time to sell homes. In the New England region, we feel that season change coming upon us. If we have a mild winter, like last year's, it starts much sooner. Our market is buzzing with new buyers and the listings are sharp, priced to go and ready for new owners.
Whether you are a first time buyer, move up buyer or someone who is looking to downsize and prepare for retirement, now is the time to be shopping for your new home! The rates remain at all time lows. The inventory has increased. Yes, there is more competition at this time of year for the buyers, but, if the new home is what you are looking for, why wait?
Is winter a better time for buyers? This thought can be true, also. During the winter months, depending on the weather conditions, there are less buyers and therefore, less competition. Basically, it depends on your needs and timeline. Consult with your Realtor and together, you can work out a plan of action that will be tailored for you.
