Scientists as Environmental Health & Engineering developed the rankings based on their evaluations of the air quality in cities throughout the United States. The study was sponsored by a division of Honeywell. The 100 cities studied in the evaluation were ranked on airborne pollen levels, particulate air polution and smoking regulations.
The Top Ten Cities are as follows: 1. Palm Bay - Melbourne - Titusville, FL, 2. Cape Coral - Fort Meyers, FL, 3. North Port - Bradenton - Sarasota, FL, 4. Honolulu,HI, 5. Tucson, AZ, 6. Colorado Springs, CO, 7. Albuquerque, NM, 8. Seattle - Tacoma - Bellevue, WA, 9. Charleston - North Charleston - Summerville, SC, 10. Lakeland - Winter Haven, FL.
