We are looking towards a great 2008 from the many indications in recent months. Our market area is still strong. With only 12 miles by 5 miles of land available for building, Hilton Head continues to be a very good market for many groups. We have many second home owners who live here full time or come for serveral weeks to vacation and use their properties other times of the year for rentals. Snow birds are returning to this sub-tropical climate during the cooler months--November, December, January, February and Marc. It's nice to have them visit during our "slower" months. The retail stores, restaurands and various amenities (golf, boating, movie theatre, etc.) all benefit from their presence.
Home property values have maintained for the most part with some villas showing signs of decrease pricing.
