There are numerous parks available at North Myrtle Beach. Of all the parks here, I am partial to Mclean Park. From my home, I can ride a golf cart to McLean Park. In the summer, there is a free concert once a month.
While I don't get to attend them as frequently as I would like, I have had the opportunity to make it to a couple of them. It is a fun time for everyone.
People who attend bring their lawn chairs or just sit on the grass and enjoy the music. A stage is set up in the center of the park. Everyone is welcome. The event brings young and old and is a great activity to attend when you need an evening out without breaking the bank.
There are a variety of other great parks in the area also. The city of North Myrtle Beach and its surrounding areas, offers a variety of park facilities, recreation, and youth athletic facilities.
Nature trails, beach trails, horseback riding are all available in and around north myrtle beach.
The J. Bryan Floyd Recreation Center, a 20 acre park is on Possum Trot Road, in North Myrtle Beach. It has several outdoor picnic areas .
City Park on the Atlantic Ocean is at First Avenue South in North Myrtle Beach.
Hill Street Park is a small park close to the beach that offers a playground, picnic tables and a tennis court.
Heritage Shore Park is the newest addition to North Myrtle Beach. It is close to the Cherry Grove Boat Landing, on 53rd Ave N. It has nature trails, and everything is preserved in it's natural state.
There is also the Virgil Yow Park in the Windy Hill Section at 43rd ave.
Also is the Russell Burgess Coastal Perserve at 33rd Ave North.
