Marines Praying
If you look closely at the picture above, you will note that all the Marines pictured are bowing their heads. That's because they're praying.

This incident took place at a recent ceremony honoring the birthday of the corps, and it has the ACLU up in arms. 'These are federal employees,' says Lucius Traveler, a spokesman for the ACLU , 'on federal property and on federal time. For them to pray is clearly an establishment of religion, and we must nip this in the bud immediately.'

When asked about the ACLU's charges, Colonel Jack Fessender, speaking for the Commandant of the Corps said (cleaned up a bit), 'Screw the ACLU.' GOD Bless Our Warriors, Send the ACLU to France '

Please send this to people you know so everyone will know how stupid the ACLU is Getting in trying to remove GOD from everything and every place in America. May God Bless America , One Nation Under GOD!

What's wrong with the picture? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING  I recieved this email yesterday, it took me awhile to figure out how to get it onto the blog, but this is a cace of politically corect gone amok. I say take the president of the ACLU and put him in a foxhole with mortar rounds exploding all around him and see if he thinks praying in a uniform in against the constitution then. The madness has got to be brought under control.

OK - we get to check another box together. Government is not the answer, it's the problem. Less Government is the solution.

Hugh:

I thought you would never ask.  True story.

My son was in the 6th grade and wanted to join a local football team.  The football team was not school related as the community we lived in started school football in the 7th grade.

Well anyway.  My son is got a lineman's build.  There was a weight limit and he was 20 lbs too heavy.  Now don't get me wrong.  He was not overly fat.  He was just big.  The league would not let him play.  He was crushed.  I was pissed.  I wrote the ACLU and they declined to help.  I thought it was wrong for them to deny him based on being too heavy.  Football is a big man's sport.  If anything, there should be a minimum weight limit.

I seem to remember we had weight limits when I was a kid but I think it was only if you were over a certain weight you coudn't be a back. What is the world coming to afraid someone might get roughed up a little playing football.

Hugh:

I think this rule is doing the school a diservice.  This is if the school is looking for the children to get some training at younger ages before entering the school football program.  Most of the little guys don't play in school so its a waste to bump the football build guys out for these little wimpy guys.

But Bill it wouldn't be politically correct if you had one team that was actually better than the other team. Its no wonder we are growing a nation of kids who think sports are played with electronic boxes in front of your television.

How 'bout the leagues that are set up where no one keeps score.  This is so no one can ever lose.
