how to make points on active rain........

By
Commercial Real Estate Agent with Doyno Realty

the last 2 blogs i wrote earned me 600 points in total. not bad huh? but to earn points you need to get involved... a lot of people don't have, or make the time to blog, but working on the theory that at least adding something makes points, let's see how this goes... i will put the first number. all you have to do is add the next. Let's see what number we can get up to.

That's horrible, that is not the purpose of this site. Then again maybe you are writing this so a whole bunch of people comment and give you more points.

While points might be nice I guess, I really enjoy AR because I have an opportunity to get practical and useful advice from real estate professionals. Enjoy your points

That is a little more like Yahoo Answers than Active Rain.  Are you saying that you got 600 pts simply because you had a lot of people comment?  I'm a newbie so I am not quite sure what is going on here.  I thought content was what we are all after and points are a side benefit along with positioning

You are right, a lot of people only blog to get points.  Unfortunately I have better things to do with my time.  I blog to get business, get publicity, appear as an expert, and ultimately increase my bottom line.

Exactly Rob, and that's the reason i posted this blog. I thought it would get some interest from point grabbers.

Sara, actually no. I just posted my thoughts on the state of the market right now. Nothing more nothing less. Go to my profile and access my blogs. They were done this morning.

The reason people want points is that we are competitive by nature, especially in our given field.

Paul, your blog made no sense to me reading it while scrolling down.  Then I saw 8 comments.  I had to read the comments just to see what I was missing.  I guess I see now.

Very interesting Paul - made me look at your last two blogs. No comments to either of them. I think it shows that content really does matter. So does spelling, grammer, and punctuation.

Still, I'll play along - this should be comment 11 unless someone jumps ahead of me before I hit submit.
