Wild Turkeys in the City!

By

They must know it's November.

Two giant wild turkeys were walking on the sidewalk in downtown Bloomfield the other day. If you've never seen a wild turkey, you'd be surprised at their size. They are BIG birds.

Also the police had arrived, although I don't know what good that would do as the turkeys weren't breaking any laws that I could tell.

Wayne and Jean - were they caught? Maybe they were trying to throw everyone off the scent of the other turkeys!

Wayne & Jean, this would be an odd sight in town!   I took a drive into the Rocky Mountain Naitonal Park this summer and saw some wild turkeys, first time!

They aren't that smart, Jean. I've had wild turkeys in my backyard since September. Maybe these guys got lost in town while shopping for stuffing:)
