Conflicts involving your neighbors tree's
A plant or tree planted by your neighbors well within the bounds of their area, but sometimes, some of the branches can extend beyond the line and into your yard.
If this will happen, know your rights and discuss a way with your neighbors and to ensure both sides a positive results when it comes the time to trim those branches hang over your yard. In this simple act, it can reduce conflicts between parties. If you have to inform the neighbor and they will be aware of your concern, he/ she may trim the parts of the tree by themselves in the future, before branches damage on your property.
But if your neighbors neglect your concern, the question is; can I trim the branches of the neighbor's tree that hang over my yard?
Answer: If limbs or the branches belonging to a neighbor's tree extend over your property line, yes, by the law you are legally allowed to trim branches that extend past the property line. To trim them, you must stay on your own property and not going over to the neighbor's yard.
And remember; take care on cutting those limbs or branches, for your own safe and also for the safe of the tree. If you do harm the tree, you could be a liable for up to three times the value of the tree. So use extreme caution when tree trimming!
