Yes... I am Chinese on my maternal and paternal sides.
My paternal great grandfather was Goo Ah Mong. See the resemblance? LOL
My paternal grandmother and my paternal grandfather Rose Lokelani Young Lum and Lin Hau were amazing people.
My great grandmother on my paternal side sewed lei to send my grandmother to school and to buy our family compound in Honolulu, Hawai'i:
My father's name is Man Fong:
My fabulously dressed paternal grandmother Rose Lokelani Young Lum carrying me:
"Me"
My maternal grandmother's name was Ah Lan. Sometimes I go by that name but most people call me La-na LOL
Today I went to eat Chinese food. I wore a green cheong sam with red lipstick to show my Chinese pride! Yes... I fattened up. It's a Chinese thing.
It is the Year of the Sheep and isn't it a coincidence. I was born in the Year of the Sheep.
Some people may be seeing this twice as I am licensed in the State of Florida and in the State of Washington.
I am very proud to be Chinese!
You would be amazed how many times I hear and/or read that people will not buy anything that is Made in China. If that was the case they would have to return their IPhone, IPad, IPod, and/or Macs. If it's IBM PCs... that too. Know what I mean? Thank you for the laugh.
Happy New Year to everyone!
