Listing agents get all the glory! They get their signs in the front yard, their names featured on Zillow and other websites, etc, but what about the Realtors who bring the buyers? Don't buyer's brokers deserve some recognition too???
Well of course they do, and that's one of the reasons I try and post some of the homes I've sold as a buyer's broker here on ActiveRain, to let people know that not only do I list homes for sale, but I also show homes to house shoppers too whether I have them listed or not. And yes, I work the east mountain areas!
Boyden Home I Sold in Edgewood NM
Here's a home in beautiful Edgewood NM built by popular home builder Joe Boyden that I helped a buyer purchase recently:
In case you've never heard of Edgewood NM, it's a small city just east of Albuquerque, on the other side of the Sandia Mountains. Houses in Edgewood are almost always located on large lots with plenty of space. Many are appropriate for animals like horses too.
The drive to Albuquerque on I40 is quite easy from Edgewood. Depending upon where you live it can take from 30 to 40 minutes to get into the city.
While that may sound like a lot of time to new Mexicans, to someone like me who relocated here from Chicago, a 30 minute commute is nothing at all. And if you want to live in a less congested area with some land, it's sure worth it.
Homes in the east mountains are either on wells or have community water systems, and they're on septic tanks. So you need a Realtor like me who's experienced with them.
Other East Mountain Communities
If Edgewood sounds like it is just a little bit too far from the city, you may want to consider looking at homes in Tijeras or Sandia Park. Not only are they closer to the city, but they're closer to the mountain too so it's easy to get to recreational activities like skiing and hiking in the Sandias.
It you're looking for luxury homes in the east mountains you'll find some great homes in Sandia Park in areas like PaaKo and San Pedro Creek and Overlook.
