Sage advice,....and sounds simple enough....just "do the right thing." Unfortunately...the "right thing" is not always the same thing....what one person views as right, another does not.
We see it in the divorce part of our practice....He/She left and took all the....The heir that took control of disposing of personal property or money ...The Seller who "forgot to disclose the basement flood...The Buyer who thought the lender wouldn't find out about the garnishment...the bankruptcy...
Sooner or later reality, truth, justice..."conscience" catches up with people...often accompanied by a great deal of stress...and in many cases...huge unnecessary legal expenses...that had the truth been told, would never have been incurred...and everyone in whatever scenario could move on with their lives. That is what some people would call the "perfect world" scenario. Would that we could all live in that place.
If you see someone waivering in a decision...offer my Mother's sage advice..."Let your conscience be your guide." Take responsibility that belongs to you...Do unto others...NOT before or because they "do it to you" but because it is the moral, ethical, honest thing to do.
We represent Sellers and Buyers honestly in every real estate transaction in southeastern Wisconsin....and we would truly be honored to be of service to you.
