Reflections

Every January, I re-read Napoleon Hill’s classic, “Think and Grow Rich”. Yes, it was a book that was written during the depression era and many pooh-pooh the book as being irrevelent, ancient and archaic. Wrong on all accounts. Napoleon Hill is credited with writing the first philosophy of success principles that many self-help speakers and coaches repurpose.
I also believe that there are defining events in everyone's life. Those events are often attached with such emotion that they scar our soul and we resolve with all our being this will never, ever happen again. I had one of those moments yesterday. The decision was made then and there to burn the bridges leaving me no recourse but to push onward. And so my friends, I will leave you with this thought . . .
Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to cut all sources of retreat. Only by doing so can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a burning desire to win - essential to success.

Good morning Michael.  I follow you everyday.  So for you to burn a bridge is just not like something you would do unless it was absolutely necessary.  For whatever reason I wish you success, you can't rebuild that bridge but you can make new ones.

Hi Michael.  Somebody really screwed up to have you make that decision.

School is never out for the Successful.

"Think and Grow Rich" is an excellent motivational book.  Classic by age and timeless in advice. And sometimes,  it's the right thing to "Think, then cut your losses to Grow".

Michael there is a lot of wisdom and truth in that quote.  Easy to see why Hill's book is so important to you.

Michael

When we have a big why . . . . and we're determined to achieve it. We will do what has to be done to achieve it.

Good luck and success.
