Strawberry Moon Forever…. Homer Alaska

 

Strawberry Moon…. Full Moon on Solstice, they say the first time since 1948 almost 50 years! The moon does have a little reddish glow to it… quite pretty…

It was full this morning and this evening so we got two chances to see this Strawberry moon or as some call it the Solstice Honeymoon!

 

Alaska has Big Skies and lots of moments to watch the moon and the stars the stunning sunsets! And then come winter we have all that and the Northern Lights!

Living in Alaska is a very Good thing!

Once again it wont let me post 2 pictures... so here is the other one with the reddish glow... I sure wish posting pictures was a little more user friendly... I cant stay up all night trying to make this work!!! Happy Solstice Everyone!

Very pretty.  I have such a hard time capturing good shots of the moon so I finally just gave up and started enjoying it without my iPhone or camera.
