I think we can all agree, Summer has arrived with some record breaking temperatures. Phoenix has been triple digits for a couple of weeks, Oregon has had record breaking temperatures, and even here in Northern Indiana we have tried to stay indoors more than usual.
Just as the weather varies in different areas of the country, so does the Real Estate Market. I read a lot of posts and Condo's are the preferred housing options in some areas, single family residences are popular in another market. Some Counties have gated communities, and we only have one in our whole market.
What is predominant in your local market? Is it Beach front real estate? Lake front properties selling like HOT cakes? Give us a snapshot of the real estate market in your local community.
Are you ready for a HOT Contest?
- Tell us a little bit about your Summer weather. Are you in a mild climate, soaring temperatures in the dessert, cooler temperatures on top of a mountain? How long is your Summer season? Are you prone to dangerous weather or early Fall? Tell us about where you live and work and play...
- What are your housing options? Do you have previous apartment buildings converted into Condo's or Townhomes? Single Family residences? Two Stories? Split level living? Is Downtown Living over a Storefront viable? What about pricing? What type of home sells most often in your market?
- Summer Activities consist of what? A City Pool for the kids? Do most homes have in-ground pools? Are Water Parks the big thing around you? Perhaps it is all sport lakes? Concerts in the evening in the parks?

- Contest runs July 1 to midnight, Pacific Time, July 31, 2016
- Points for entering the contest 1,000, to be issued in August, 2016
- All posts must be at least 350 words
- Three photos required, one on the weather, Second on most common housing option and the third on Summer Activities in your community.
- A link to your post left in the comment section of this blog.
