If you have a unique, interesting listing with a special or historic significance think about what publications might be interested in featuring the property. Journalists are always looking for something to write about. I recently read an article in our local news paper about The Frederick County Landmarks Foundation which inspired me to reach out to the reporter about a historic farm house I have listed.
This is a Frederick County Landmarks Foundation historic property and I emailed her a link to my Active Rain Blog about it's historic significance. Yes , this lead to a very nice feature article in the Frederick News Post !
Another rather unique listing I have is a chain of three islands on the Potomac River. Recently I had been interviewed by a Washington Post real estate reporter and I decided to email her the listing. This reporter forwarded the information to a freelance journalist who ran a feature spot in the Post's real estate section 
The Post article has generated many inquiries , not only from potential Buyers, but a foreign journalist and a local television reporter.
Go the EXTRA mile for EXTRA exposure !
