All Weekend:

31st Annual Fall Festival at the Shawnnee Indian Mission Museum  starting Friday, 6pm - Shawnee Indian Mission Museum, 3403 W 53rd St, Fairway, KS  Evening outdoor porch concert kick off 6pm Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 10am - 5pm (main event)  Including live musical performances from Folk Alliance International artists, outdoor vendor & artisan market, children's games and crafts, living history & first person re-enactors and food trucks!  The events take place throughout the grounds of the historic landmark so join us for some historic, family fun!

Kansas City Ballet - Romeo & Juliet Fri, Sat & Sun various times, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, 1601 Broadway Blvd., Kansas City, MO  William Shakespeare’s romantic tragedy ranks among the world’s most enduring stories. Artistic Director Devon Carney brings us his interpretation of this classic masterpiece with soaring choreography and sweeping characters. Rennaisance Festival Fri, Sat, Sun 10am to 7pm, 628 N 126th St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012  Last weekend for the Renaissance Festival.  Travel back in time and partake in a Kansas City Tradition since 1977. Pay heed to the exploits of Jousting Knights on thundering steeds, roam the village shops for unique crafts, delight in comedy, music, magic and more on our 20 stages of non-stop entertainment, and feast on delicious food and drinks from the far reaches of the globe! Recycling Extravaganzia - City of Overland Park - 8am-2pm  at Black & Veatch, 11401 Lamar Ave.,Overland Park, KS.   The extravaganza offers an opportunity to recycle more materials than ever before. Botanical Brewfest Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens - 4-8pm, Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, 8909 W. 179th St, Overland Park.  Featuring many local and regional breweries, restaurants and bands all in a beautiful garden setting.  Food, music, games & fun.  Don't miss this premier metro-wide beer event that benefits the arboretum, for tickets and more info visit: https://www.opkansas.org/events/botanical-brewfest/  

PorchFestKC  12pm-4pm, Midtown KC by Broadway & 35th PorchFestKC returns for a 4th year, featuring 160 bands performing on front porches of homes in three neighborhoods this year. A wide variety of musical genres will be represented, including Americana, reggae, classical, pop, folk, jazz, country, and Latin. Music is acoustic or near-acoustic and spans six hours.  Festival attendees are encouraged to bring their camp chair and tip money.  A dozen food trucks will be available throughout the festival area. Festival goers wander from porch-to-porch at their own pace, listening from front yards.
