The Monday Morning Memo December 4th

Welcome to the The Monday Morning Memo....I trust you had a fantastic weekend filled with fun & relaxation.  As we prepare for the busy holiday season, we must also remember to prepare for the upcoming new year.  We must review what we have done and decide what worked.  We must set new goals and plan a new strategy for success.  We must decide for ourselves what success means and then work hard towards achieving it.  As all of us know, we cannot control or change those around us.  We cannot control or change the economy.  We cannot control or change our past.  We absolutely, 100%, without a doubt, can control and change what we individually do today and that will be all that matters if we want to control and change our future.  Let us start to control and change today.  Enjoy your week ahead and your Holiday Season with family and friends.

 

 

On the best sunny day, the most powerful magnifying glass will not light paper if you keep moving the glass. But if you focus and hold it, the paper will light up. That is the power of concentration.

 

A man was traveling and stopped at an intersection. He asked an elderly man, "Where does this road take me?" The elderly person asked, "Where do you want to go?" The man replied, "I don't know." The elderly person said, "Then take any road. What difference does it make?"

 

How true. When we don't know where we are going, any road will take us there.

Suppose you have all the football eleven players, enthusiastically ready to play the game, all charged up, and then someone took the goal post away. 

What would happen to the game? There is nothing left. How do you keep score? How do you know you have arrived?

 

Enthusiasm without direction is like wildfire and leads to frustration. Goals give a sense of direction. Would you sit in a train or a plane without knowing where it was going? The obvious answer is no. Then why do people go through life without having any goals?

People with goals succeed because they know where they're going.

Failure is success if we learn from it.

The person who gets the farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare. The sure-thing boat never gets far from shore.

You can do anything you wish to do, have anything you wish to have, be anything you wish to be.

Always look at what you have left.Never look at what you have lost.

I buy when other people are selling.

Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it. Establish your priorities and go to work.

 

No one can make you jealous, angry, vengeful, or greedy - unless you let them

 

The best way to help negative people is not to become one of them.
