52 Saturdays - Week 4 - Colonial Life Arena
Just down the street from the University of South Carolina, on the edge of the Vista in downtown Columbia, SC you will find Colonial Life Arena. Best known for being home to both the Men's and Lady's Gamecock basketball teams who have had plenty to cheer about in the past couple years. The Men's team is coming off of last years final four appearance and the Lady G's are of course coming off of a national championship campaign.
That being said it is indeed basketball season and given the fact that prices are reasonable and there really isn't a bad seat in the house you get down there and check out a game. While Colonial Life Arena may be best known for the home teams, that is certainly not all they have to offer.
Each year Colonial Life Arena hosts a number of concerts from a wide variety of artists. The Eagles and Jeff Dunham will each be at Colonial Life Arena in April and Elton John will make an appearance in March. Colonial Life also hosts various other events throughout the year such as Monster Jam and Disney on Ice.
