Despite the car thermometer reading -21 degrees.....I ventured out to the required dental checkup as a result of my implant surgery. Many businesses, schools....the post office...are closed today. Ironically..many of the bars are open !
Many appointments has enabled me to get to know the Dentist and his staff pretty well. Of course, they all know we are Realtors...and yes, they are on the Purple envelope monthly newsletter mailing list and sometimes tell me that they found something they learned in the newsletter of help to them at home...Yaah !
Today, the surgical assistant greeted me warmly.....though confessed that her house was not Soooo warm,...the furnace had gone out....down and out...no hope of rescuing it. She had been quoted what I knew was much tooooo much to replace it. While we never ever quote jobs for our contractors...we encourage clients to call our trusted contractors for a second opinion or another quote.
We have done a lot of remodeling...owned rental properties...and the contractors we recommend have all worked for us personally so we can recommend them without reservation in the qualify of their products and services.
David sent a text to our HVAC expert and had him contact the husband of the dentist's surgical assistant...and he declared it "AN EMERGENCY"...no heat...a family of six....below zero temps...YES it was exactly that ! Our contractor made his "house call" a priority ...and at a price that was THOUSANDS LESS than the one they were quoted the day before.
We just added a Raving Fan to our sphere...and the "advertising" to the rest of the dental...the neighborhood...family and friends...is priceless !
Develop your list...seek out the contractors that are reliable...that will serve your clients well....and be rewarded over and over and over.
