Grape Harvest at Spirits of Norway Vineyard ...Mmmmm

By
Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty 414-525-0563 57026-90 Broker

It's harvest time at Spirits of Norway Vineyard...Norway for people not familiar with southeastern Wisconsin georgraphy is a small town of a little less than 8,000 people in Racine County, the next county south of Milwaukee.  Our proud to call them friends, Sandy and Randy Johnson own it and it's no secret that they LOVE what they do.We knowwhen harvest season comes that they appreciate help with picking grapes and arrange some of our weekends around Saturday morning deviled eggspicking with a cast of other people who donate their Saturday morning...the more...the easier and so armed with our "signature" deviled eggs we head south. The Johnsons generously provide a buffet lunch ...and a bottle of wine as a gratuity for our time which we really enjoy giving to their ever increasngly popular business. Soooo very cool to see people who have followed their dream and watch it become a prosperous reality.

grapes of laugh       This year...Sandy added a little funky exercise to the event and you could dress and stomp in the "Lucy Barrels" if you wished !  Next time some of us will be dressed more appropriately for this photo op !

Today there were about 30 people who were experienced, dedicated and efficient and the yiels was  OVER a ton of grapes picked in record time. There were two varieties picked,Brianna and Frontenac Blanc. Long rows of vines stretch across acres once open land before the "see if we can grow a vine become a vicrushedneyard.

Here you can see the grapes crushed long before they reach your table top.

Spirits of Norway Wines have won prizes in International competition.  We are going to share some at a new listing appointment this week. A treat we are sure that our Sellers will find room in their Cellar to enjoy.

This has been a locally..we think...inspiring post about people who took a dream and a lot of hard work and made it become a prosperous reality.  Congratulations Sandy and Randy Johnson...may your business continue to grow....with all the love and hard work you put into it, we know you harvest the rewards you so richly deserve, With our best wishes and admiration for a job that continues to be "well done" , Sally K. & David L.Hanson, Broker Associates with EXP Realty honored to be of service for all things real estate in souheastern Wisconsin.

Hi Sally,

This sounds like a fun event.  I would not have realized that there was wine country in Wisconson.
