After getting into the cutting edge information about computers, Internet and web pages on Tuesday, . . . I thought I would take just a small trip back in time and look at computers – as we saw them 40 years ago.

So sit back, relax (and if you remember any of this – take some Geritol)

I am often laughing when I hear what some "experts" have to say.  It is sad that some people believe everything the "experts" have to say.

Wow, that was so much fun watching that blast from the past! A young Storm Field - he was on my TV at the time. "Simple enough so even an adult can use it" - hahaha. "Check the yellow pages and call to check on prices" hahaha.

We've come a long way baby!

Hi Rocky- I can remember my first laptop. It came with huge manuals.  I had no idea what DOS was. I don't even remember what brand it was.

Rocky back then computers were a want, today they are pretty much a necessary.  My first one was a Texas Instruments personal computer.  It did not have a hard drive, or even disk drive, or programs.  Information was stored on a cassette tape.
