There's plenty to do there for young and old at Lake Anna in Barberton, Ohio. It's beautiful and peaceful, but it also comes alive for many Summer concerts, festivals and arts & crafts shows. I hope you enjoy the pictures! This first one is just shows the lake itself.
The lake is 1 full mile around the edge and a favorite for walkers in the morning because of the wide, smooth sidewalk that goes all the way around it (and the strategically placed benches to rest on!).
Families come out with kids and strollers to walk the grounds and get a lillte fresh air and sunshine.
They take bread and feed the ducks and swans (don't get too close to the swans).
Children (and adults) also like to wade in the shallow water at the edge of the lake. It's clear enough to see tiny fish darting around sometimes. The lake has a bottom fed spring and is extremely deep however, so make sure they stay close to the edge!
Lake Anna has always had swans, and if they decide to glide in and let you have a better look, they're gorgeous!
The free concerts in the park sponsored by the Barberton Parks & Recreation always draw large crowds.
And of course, the Bathhouse has bathrooms in it.
If you want a quiet place to sit and contemplate life, there's always the memorial.
So what special event concert did I see out at Lake Anna? Elvis!
So, if you haven't been to Lake Anna in Barberton yet, it's a place you really should visit soon!
