Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club in Wesley Chapel to become Future Residential Development?

With all of the development (residential, commercial, retail) in Wesley Chapel, I shouldn't have been been surprised when I heard that there is a plan to rezone the Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club to RES-6.  It seems that there are plans for converting the golf course to 660 single family and multiple family dwellings.

It's absolutely absurd to make a golf course into 660 townhomes. Think of the continued congestion, flooding and school impact. The land is already zoned residential- that happened decaeds ago without any notice to abutting home owners. What benefit to the community does a project like this have? None, absolutely no positive benefits to Wesley Chapel or the Quail Hollow area.
