Moving to a new office

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Coast to Coast

No, I'm not changing Brokers.  My office has had the oppertunity to move to new space and it looks so nice.  If you're like me you have tons of stuff for your Real Estate business.  I didn't realize how much I had until this move.  Now I'm trying to figure out how to fit the office space of 3 desks into 1 desk.  I got spoiled having alot of room for all my things.  If any of you have comments or helpfull resources on the basics of a well organized Real Estate desk I'd love to see them.

Rent 1 desk on either side of the one you've got. Now you got 3 again!

Good luck with the move Marni.

We recently (a few months ago) combined 2 offices  & I'm still putting things away. I'm hoping to get some more time in the fall/winter to really get organized.

If you are like me, much of the things, folders, etc. are obsolete or just plain useless- if you really think about it. I got rid of alot of things that were just taking up space!

Consider hiring an "organization" coach.  They're an emerging trend in many places...and they can bring great ideas and clarity to your life, allowing you to focus on making more dough!

Marni, Go through all your stuff and get rid of everything you don't use or don't really need.  Enjoy your new office!

Thanks all for the replies,  some of you have great ideas.  As for the 'rent the desks on either side' idea... we get our desks free (no rent), but thanks for the idea

Marni,  You could think about hiring some one to scan files onto a disc, All those papers you are holding on to,  This way you could store alot on your computer, and when you are looking for something that you know you received at some great training you went to 3 years ago, you could easily find it..
