The news out of Washington lately hasn't been very good. If what the politicians and government officials say is true, it sounds like we are on the verge of complete collapse and life as we know it will cease to exist! (HaHa) Don't start running for the windows...the truth is a lot of people that make more money than we'll ever see, got greedy and the financial markets could no longer give them cover. Many people took advantage of the free market concept, bucked oversight, and in an effort to line their pockets during a largest real estate boom in American history, just plain took advantage of all of us.
But let not your hearts be troubled...we've all been asking for the last two and a half years "When will things turn around in the real estate market?". Well things are starting to turn. We could have never gotten to an upswing until this dirty little financial secret was exposed and now that it has, we can look forward to better times.
Now is the time for all of us to pull together, demand better from our elected officials, and insist on more fiscal responsibility and integrity from those we send to Washington and those that run corporate America. Like a banker friend of mine told me yesterday, "We're all in this boat together and in order for us to get out of this mess, we're all going to have to start rowing together."
With that said, please know that things are not as bleak as you might think. The Bill Fitzgerald Team was able to assist 12 families with the purchase or sale of homes in August and September. We are not waiting for people to call us, in fact, our team is working very hard everyday to locate people that need to buy or sell real estate.
