Let me just start by saying I submitted my site to DMOZ back in April. Since then I have been checking to see if it has been listed, NO LUCK YET. I have been reading the forums and can't help but notice a lot of frustrated website owners.
It seems we in the Internet community expect things to happen at the snap of a finger and when it doesn't we don't seem to understand why. Yes DMOZ would be a great addition to our back-links program but instead of waiting for them to review it we need to concentrate on our site content. If other people and sites link to yours naturally because of good content then your website will stand out on its own without the help of DMOZ, you will be in control of your site and less frustrated knowing it will be just a matter of time before it is listed.
