One of our favorite Saturday activities is taking a ride down to Franklin for the Franklin Farmer's Market at The Factory. Our favorite band, the Franklin Square Pickers, plays each Saturday morning till around 10:30, when various other groups take the stage.
Over the years we've been going, we've made friends with many of the wonderful vendors who make up the farming community of Middle Tennessee. We've bought lots of delicious organic veggeies, soap, candles, homemade artisan bread, organic meats (including fabulous chicken livers and sausage), cheese...I could go on and on!
Afterwards, it's fun to walk through The Factory (actually an old stove factory built in the 20s) and visit some of the electic shops and art galleries, then finish out the day at a few of the city's many antique shops.
Saturdays like this are what makes living in Middle Tennessee a joy!
