I can hardly say that I'm an expert photographer. But you can't miss when snapping pictures of the rural beauty of Tumalo. Hidden between Bend and Redmond, Oregon, Tumalo offers small to large acerage parcels for the rancher or horse lover in all of us. I just took these photos Wednesday, and today there is snow in air and clouds. Who knew winter was so close on our heels! So just enjoy the pictures and know that if you move to Central Oregon tyou could have a yard like this!

Cat - very nice and you know how I like snow-cap mountains. Were you like is so beautiful, if you could get over by the De-chutes river or closer to those mountains you can get some super great photographs. If I was in Bend Oregon, you know were I would be.

Please correct me on the spelling of the De-chutes river, I don't have a map by me.

Robert- It is Deschutes (I think the origin is French?) Which is also the name of the county I live in and yes, both the Big and Little Deschutes Rivers run through it. Though my personal favorite is the Metolius, I couldn't hike that this fall as we had a controlled burn get a little out of hand and block the trail. Anyway, just about everytime I go to take a picture of the river there has been a road improvement project in my path. BTW, the mountains are only 20 minutes away or 35 if I want to head up to the Cascade Lake Loop.
