I have a collection of recipes that are cheap, cheap, cheap, easy, easy, easy and delicious, delicious, delicious. They are made from ingredients that most of us have on hand and are easier than a mix.
First from my cookbook
Decadent Chocolate Brownies
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup cocoa (yes, the dry cheap cocoa in everyone's pantry)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 whole eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla flavored extract
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon sale
and optional is 3/4 cup nuts of any kind
Set your oven on 350. Spray a 8 x 8x 2 in pan withcooking spray.
Melt margarinein a 1 quart bowl in your microwave. Add cocoa and stir until well blended. Add sugar and stir again until well mixed. Add eggs, vanilla, flour, and salt. Mix well. Fold in nuts if you are adding them. Spread in your pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
If you like, can be frosted with dark chocolate frosting.
Great to serve at office get togethers or at open houses. Also great for Christmas basket goodies.
Enjoy!
