mums by Ann HaydenFall is here and the temperatures are going to decrease.  Here are the last photos of the season for gorgeous flowers.  I spent the day trying to find something to take pictures of to post about and this is what I decided to write about.

These mum are absolutely the best.  They not only look great, they smell great.  Tomorrow I may have to cut them to bring in before the temperatures fall.

Enjoy!

Boy,

I think the last of the pretty flowers gave up the ghost here about two months ago. This is a cold and wet year.

Hi Ann, I love MUMS. They are so beautiful.  What a great picture!  Sometimes we get writers block, trying to come up with something to post, when often I think that we are trying too hard.  Keep it simple - thanks for the post!

Mums were my grandmothers favorite.  I used to have them for her when she came to visit my house.  Beautiful picture, reminds me of my mom.  KM

I love to see all the autumn decorations in our area.....mums are a big favorite.  We will still see them for a bit, but soon our color will be dependent on pansies.  I love them too!

Ann,

Yes, the fall colors are gorgeous.  The plantings will last for a few more weeks with special care when it frosts.

I miss the mum festivals that we used to have in Texas. For some reason people out here don't grow mums in the ground, preferring simply to buy them from the store in the fall and then throw them away when they are finished blooming. Yet man of them have leaves that are also quite fragrant throughout the rest of the year.

Russel,

That is strange.  I love mums.  They require so little care.  Obviously my kind of flower!
