A taste of Paris in NJ (well NYC really...)

A new store opened in NYC on 36th Street & 7th called The Macaron Cafe, I used to buy these at Wegmans down in Bridgewater, but they stopped making them as it was too expensive especially for the vanilla flavored macarons since vanilla crop was expensive. So I found this new place that recently opened, their website is nothing but an address and order link for pick up, but here are a couple of pictures of what these macarons look like.  They might look a little exotic, but if you ever have to the chance to go to nyc, there are a couple of expensive upscale chocolate & french shops that make these, besides the Macaron Cafe.  The taste is amazing and they come in many flavors.  Unlike the american macaroon, the French macarons are made with almond flour instead of coconut, and they taste nothing alike.  >>>The french macarons are definitely the winner and its worth the 1.75 they charge for each small cookie, calling them a cookie is an understatement. On a real estate related tip, it's always nice to be close to NYC!
