In the month of October 2008 there were 507 units sold at an average sold price of $182,048 with an average days on market (DOM) of 94. For October 2007 there were 782 units sold at an average price of $193,590 with an average DOM of 88.
The volume of units sold has decreased by 35.2% and the DOM has increased by 6 days when compared to the same month last year.
However, the Greenville market is still going strong and there is high demand for homes below the $200,000 price point. The inventory in the $0 to $200,000 range is between 6-7 months. According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) this would be considered a balanced market for this price range.
