Pancake Breakfast/Craft Fair
On Saturday, November 15, the Somers Fire Department and Ambulance will be hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser. The proceeds will go to purchasing medical equiment that is not otherwise supplied by the town. The cost of admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for children. Breakfast begins at 8am and the craft fair doors close at 4pm. There is no admission cost to the craft fair. This event will be held at the Somers Fire House located at 400 Main Street (Route 190) in Somers. For more information about vendors, please contact 860-761-5036.
Comic Relief Night
Who couldn't use a good laugh right now? The Somers High School PTSA and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) are hosting a night of comedy at the Somers High School on Thursday, November 20th. Max Dolcelli will be headlining the show with Dr. Jay Sutay and Dave Yubruh. The show begins at 7:30 pm and ticket prices are $15 for adults, $7 for students.

For those who don't know, the town of Somers maintains a website that is chock-full of information about the goings-on of the town. At www.somersnow.com you can find anything from the town's employee's phone numbers and contact information for the school system to notices and posted "lost and found" items (which are mostly cats and dogs.) Upcoming events are posted in the "Calendar" pages of the website and you can even find information about how to sign up for classes and kids sports teams and events. Those in charge of the site do a great job keeping it up-to-date. Be sure to check it out.
