Holidays approaching fast, what's for dinner?

I need help! I'm not traveling this year for Christmas.  My daughter and I are going to California for the Rose Bowl after Christmas.  No family coming in (they all live many states away) So, I am cooking dinner for two!  My daughter is allergic to Seafood and we're both tired of Ham and Turkey.  Any suggestions for a great holiday meal?  We know we are making mashed potatos and having cheesecake for dessert.  That's all we know.  MerryChristmas!!!!!

Put a flare on those potatoes, garnish them with paprika and butter.  How about a nice leg of lamb?  Small one, only for two, but you can make nice hot open face sandwiches topped with gravy if you have any leftovers.  Merry Christmas.

Hmmm...lamb chops....Lasagna (freeze the rest in bite size chunks for the "don't have time to cook nights") Take chicken breasts....pound very thin (good stress reliever) wash them in egg white and coat with shaved (not grated) parmesan and do 3 -4 minutes per side...till they are a beautiful golden...and crunchy brown...mmmmm.  Bon Appetite !

I am not the meal planner in my family but I am interested to see what others suggest to your post.  I am just staying close and going to the in-laws for Christmas Eve and my parents for Christmas Day so I don't even have to go in the kitchen this year.  LUckily for everyone else!  Merry Christmas!

What about lobster?  I just think it matters what you are hungry for, not for how many people you need to cook for....I have a family of 2, me and my hubby, and we often make 2 different meals each night!  Take care and happy holidays!

My mom's making a tenderloin roast.  I'm sure you could get a small one or even just fillet mignon, which is the roast cut up.  It would be great with the mashed!
