For Buyers of all types, whether they be individuals/families looking to buy their first home, or investors looking to capitalize on the drop in multi-family home prices, there are still places that are humming with activity. Now that interest rates for mortgages have hit a 40 year low, and there is plenty of inventory to choose from, there is no real reason for people to not buy real estate TODAY! Just in Waterbury, CT for example, 63 multifamilies have sold in the last 3 months with an average time on the market of 93 days and an average lp/sp ratio of 91%. Not bad, huh? Single Family homes did even better, with 134 being sold in the same time period, with an average of 99 days on the market and an average lp/sp ratio of 93%. What do all of these numbers really mean? Simply this: people are still buying and selling houses!
