Home Inspector with Square One Home Inspection

In being honest with ourselves as inspectors, and people for that matter, we need to assess our weaknesses and strengths. As an inspector, one of my strengths happens to be roofing and attics. This makes sense because that is what i specialized in before becoming an inspector. On that note, I will be more than happy to help anyone needing information, education or the like on any roofing issues. Always glad to help.

Any electrical gurus out there want to tell us what the biggest mistake is when inspecting an electrical panel?

Ian we all learn everyday.  Somedays more than others.  Just finished a roofing course by local contractor, figures day late and dollars short.

My strength is big dogs on the property. They are putty in my hands. My biggest weakness is electricity since that's about the only profession I've never been in, which is kind of funny since my granddad, my dad, and my three uncles were either electricians or quite knowledgeable in the subject. Rebellion?

Fortunately, I have several great electricians who are Power Partners with me.

Nice Russel. If my inspections  happen to be in a rural area, which alot of them are, I may need to start taking Raz with me. He loves people, may keep the kids occupied if they are along to check out the new house. That's gotta be more fun than a coloring book right?
