Elections always create a slowdown. Human beings can not handle so much negativity without it affecting them.

It has been slow but I think it's a combination of weather and timing the market for both the sellers and buyers I am working with . I know it's going to get better because I like to eat .

I think these trends generally start between the ears, and then the more they are voiced they begin to happen for real.

I am keeping very busy with clients, but a lot of recent work isn't coming to fruition -- lots of tail chasing the past couple of weeks, but that type of thing comes & goes

Not due to lack of effort in some communities (in my opinion) - I have seen a slowdown in homes selling, as in low Inventory, and the ones on the Market having Price Reductions, and still not moving after 90 days Tony Lewis.

It may be just your local market although there always seems to be business out there. Even in the worst of markets, my level of business doesn't vary, so I'd say we have a certain amount of control.

Tony,
It depends on where your focus is. Every market regardless of the economy has people selling and buying homes. A

It's a little slow here and there, but other areas 30 minutes away it's picking up.

I have hit my projection for sales this month but the inventory is low and making it harder; hoping the spring will bring an influx of homes for sale.

Tony,
Here in Colorado we are seeing high demand for all houses until you get to the upper price ranges.

Good morning Tony. I have no clue, but made up my mind a long time ago, that the economy or the market would never have any effect on my income.

Tony Lewis you did answer your own question - it's your mindset that defines the reality of the market for you!

It has slowed just for a minute. Spring will boost the market into a great year.

I think it is spotty. Our market is picking up activity, loads of new listings coming in and I have several showings and calls / activities going on but no contracts. 1st quarters seem to be the slowest for me.

No slowdown here in Metro Columbus, inventory still low but I'm focused on changing that :)

Low inventory is an issue in my area. I am not seeing any slow down ... at all.

We are not seeing a slow-down but have actually seen an increase in the last couple of months.

A dip or a pause is always noted but no slowdown. The current rates, product & pricing all signal action not inaction...Plus, we are at the beginning of a new Real Estate cycle which tend to be busier and run typically 12-17 years without acts of God or man interfering

Here in Salt Lake City, Ut the market it steady. . . we have plenty of buyers but our inventory of houses is very low. . .

The market was lagging at the end of the year. But now it is back on fire again. I believe it has a lot to do with interest rates at the moment.

I'm not seeing any. I had multiple offers on one of my listings, one offer on another along with almost daily showings, and I brought a buyer to two listings that had multiple offers. I'm waiting on finding out if our offer was accepted.
The market is starting to pick up, it was slow for December/January. The warmer weather is helping as well as the lower interest rates. Condos will start picking up in the next couple weeks out here and homes in April.
Things may slow down around the election due to uncertainty about the future of the country. Gun sales will likely skyrocket, especially if hillary is the nominee (she tried to force the US into an illegal UN treaty banning firearms while Sec. of State, so she's very anti-gun).

Our market is still strong, but not as strong as it has been the last three years.

It's not slowing down in the Northern Virginia market, and we normally always see a slow down in election years.
