  Well Thanksgiving morning is here, a full house already and they will be up soon for our traditional breakfast of Eggs Benedict with roasted red potatoes and a fresh fruit platter. Just taking a minute out from the kitchen in order to get my 30/30 out of the way, wish my AR family a very Happy Thanksgiving and recap where I’m at so far.   Let the dog out. Turkey removed from the brine. Prep some vegetables. Made coffee and let the dog in. Checked emails (at least I’m honest).     There are times of the year that are special for us all but I would have to believe that starting with Thanksgiving, the November/December Holiday Season has to win out overall. I say it that way because I really do not want to miss any one celebration in this time frame and it seems like every couple years someone throws a new one into the mix and I don’t say that with any disrespect.    It’s a time of year when people (most people) are truly more friendly, caring and just plain good hearted, it doesn’t matter what Holiday your celebrating it’s just true for this time of year. At our house we celebrate Thanksgiving and then Christmas and of course New Years too.      Imagine if you will; Hollister California Saturday November 9th 2013, I’m on my way to a fund raiser BBQ for some local children that are raising money so they can go to the nation’s capitol in the spring. The location of this BBQ is behind the old cannery in the center of Hollister and if you don’t know where you’re going you probably would never find it. But being from Hollister, and having a true admiration for Tri-Tip done right I knew exactly where to go J.      As I rounded the cannery I saw there were several boxcars together at the loading dock and was by no means unusual here in Hollister for them to be there.        Yes it’s that time of year again, time for SWANK FARMS, and I must say the weather is just as it should be for Halloween. Cold and crisp, I remember growing up in Jersey and this time of year was a bit colder than any I’ve ever sampled out here.
