Open House wil be on the evening of October 6 (rain date is October 13) at the Main Fire Station on Bustard Road. We encourage you to come with your children and see the demonstrations of fire and rescue techniques and learn together that fire safety is everyone's responsibility.    Fire Prevention Week (October 9-15), the company will be visiting many schools throughout our township to provide programs on fire safety. Be sure to talk with your kids during this time about what they heard and learned. And, of course, it is a good time to remember to change your smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries.  On October 22, The Vol. Ladies Auxiliary will be holding its annual Craft Fair Fund Raiser at the Main Station.    09/26/2011

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission awarded Towamencin Township an EGGS (Efficient Growth for Growing Suburbs) grant in 2009 for a planning study for a mixed-use park and ride facility.Normally, park and ride lots are just large parking lots -without any other uses. This study examined the viability ofdeveloping a park and ride lot in combination with othercomplimentary site development. The site for the study is a 4.4-acre lot owned by thePennsylvania Turnpike Commission and is located on thecorner of Sumneytown Pike and Towamencin Avenue.
